Single Stage
Air is compressed once from inlet pressure to final pressure. These machines are simple, compact and suitable for standard 7 to 13 bar applications.
Two Stage
Air is compressed in two steps with intermediate cooling. This design can be more efficient at higher pressures and in demanding continuous duty.
How to Choose
For standard pressure and general use, a single stage unit is usually enough. For higher pressure or heavy continuous load, compare the two stage option for energy efficiency.
