How to Select an Air Compressor for Laser Cutting

Laser cutting machines use compressed air for cutting, optics protection and cooling. Poor air quality directly reduces cut quality and lens life.

Flow and Pressure

Confirm the flow and pressure the laser source requires, and add margin for simultaneous axes and purge flows.

Air Quality

Dry, oil-free or filtered air prevents lens damage and rust. Match the dryer dew point and filtration grade to the laser maker’s specification.

Stability

Use a receiver tank and adequate piping so pressure stays stable during the cut cycle.

We supply complete laser cutting air packages with compressor, dryer, tank and filters.
