When a compressor runs but pressure stays low, the fault is usually an air leak, a demand problem or a component issue. A systematic check finds it quickly.
Look for Leaks First
Leaks in piping, fittings, drains and tools are the most common cause. Isolate sections and use soapy water or an ultrasonic detector.
Check the Inlet and Filters
A dirty inlet filter or a faulty inlet valve restricts the air entering the airend and limits output.
Check Drive and Airend
Belt slip, a faulty pressure switch or airend wear can reduce output. Measure actual flow and pressure to narrow the cause.
